Comet is the daughter of Starburst and Aerostorm.
and Comet is the daughter of Starburst and Aerostorm.
She's a really shy pony and isn't very talkative, even with her parents. Though she doesn't mind hanging around with them when they have free time. She spends most of her day watching Aerostorm doing cool tricks in the sky, during one of his training sessions. She usually sneaks up into the Wonderbolt Academy without being noticed (and she's really good at that, she's a discrete pegasus and she flies fast). Sometimes she visits her mother Starburst only when she has free time with the guards.
She has a lot of admiration for both of them.
Aerostorm being one of the most popular Wonderbolts in Equestria and Starburst being the Captain of the Royal Guard, Comet feels a little left out compared to her fabulous and fantastic parents. She wonders if she wants to follow their paths... And even wishes to be someday a Wonderbolt, or a Royal Guard, so ponies can see how wonderful she is too, just like her parents. But she is too afraid to admit that and tell her parents that dream. For the moment, she's just a young pony hiding behind the shadow of the dedicated captain and of the famous Wonderbolt. But maybe one day, she'll understand that you don't have to be like your parents to be someone memorable.
On the other side, Rainbow Dash, the "cool" grand mother, is the one visiting her. But apparently Comet doesn't like her presence. Rainbow being a really loud, energetic and really competitive mare, Comet prefers actually to be alone when she's around. But the poor filly has to bare the tight hugs of RD, repeating how cool and cute is her granddaughter, hoping someday she'll be an awesome Wonderbolt too. But luckily RD is also a really busy pony so her visits are not regular.
Her cutie mark is a fiery comet. Her talent is being fast when she flies straight. She's a fast pegasus and only few ponies can follow her in the sky. She doesn't have a lot of endurance though.
In the night, she tends to disappear because of the high speed and of her skin color , but unfortunately she can fly really quickly only during a really short time. She tends to lose a lot of energy after that.
She got her cutie mark when she went to the Wonderbolt Academy. During one of her daily routine, she was hiding in a bush so her dad Stormy couldn't noticed her. But after some strong gusts went to her direction, she was not quite hidden and Spitfire discovered her hideout. Scared, she felt humiliated when Spitfire scolded her. It became worse when Aerostorm came to see what her daughter was doing her. Comet panicked and fled, while Spitfire and Aero tried to catch her up. But Comet was so fast, and her trail seemed to be different....

Comet, after this high speed chase, finally got rid of them, and once she went home exhausted, she noticed she got her cutie mark. Later that evening, she apologized to a very happy Stormy, over joyed to see his baby having a cutie mark.
Later, Comet will admit to mama Starburst her secret and her dream, which means being a member of the Royal Guard! ... Or a Wonderbolt. Poor Comet, getting your cutie mark isn't the way to be either of them. You still have work to do...
